Breaktime

Studying at a Starbucks since very (very) early this morning...People put so much sugar and milk into their coffee. And big men order lattes more often than you would think.

And now my coffee's cold and I have recently come to realize that cold coffee is seriously one of the most terrible tastes early in the morning. What must ICED COFFEE be like?! That sounds awful...

umm...DOGTOOTH?

Was reading through LA Weekly and saw something about a crazy "dark comedy" Greek film called Dogtooth that was finally being shown in LA, but only for a week. It was (slash maybe still is?) playing at the Cinefamily Silent Movie Theater (corner of Fairfax & Melrose) which is a really cool thing they have going on over there. They seem to have a lot of showings and interviews and interesting little performances that I am now down to go to.

ANYWAYS, they warned me about the movie when they talked about its "dangerous freaky-deakiness" and "hyper-stylized, intoxicating mixture of physical violence and verbal comedy"...but I did not realize how INTENSE and STRANGE and, um, MESSED UP this movie was until I saw it. Definitely worth seeing, though. So to everyone that wants to sort of lose their minds for about 90 minutes, I recommend this one :)

Pacific Design Center

Went to the Pacific Design Center on Melrose today. ACTUALLY went there for the MOCA exhibit type situation that I thought was going on there, but that turned out to be a tiny square building right outside the PDC. Soooo I went to the MOCA whatsit which was (kind of) interesting and then entered the crazy colored buildings which were puhhhhreeetty AMAZING! Walked around, took in some crazy designs. Watched as they were working on the RED BUILDING that's coming soon. They had sketches for the red building and that thing is gonna be HUGE.
DID I MENTION, this is situated in a very amazing Melrose/Santa Monica Blvd/Sunset type location that I use as my main motivation to make lots of money in the future. AKA I want to live somewhere in that area. Can I go back tomorrow? Oh, and these pictures are all from Google Images...for some reason I can never get a whole structure in my camera. I tell myself that I don't want to cross the street to take a picture and then I regret it later, haha, WHOOPS.

Everybody

Everybody had a hard year
Everybody had a good time
Everybody had a wet dream
Everybody saw the sunshine
Everybody had a good year
Everybody let their hair down
Everybody pulled their socks up
Everybody put the foot down
Yeah, I've got a feeling!
A feeling deep inside!
